ASUU: End Strike in Favour of Iyayi

The Pro Chancellor of university of Benin, Senator Effiong Bob, during a condolence visit to the family of prof. Festus Iyayi, has appealed to the striking Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) to call off the strike in honour of their deceased colleague.

Prof. Iyayi who died in a ghastly motor accident the involved the vehicle he was riding in and the convoy of Kogi State governor, Idris Wada, is now a reference point in resolving a complex national issue.

Although informational from our sources did not show whether Senator Bob was talking the mind of the authorities, but his approach is quite impressive. If the both parities are genuinely sympathizing with the family of the deceased, I believe they will also shift their grounds to extend the sympathy to students who have been terribly affected by the protracted strike.
