How to Get International Passport in Nigeria


International Passport is an instrument that identifies you as a legitimate citizen of a specified country anywhere on the surface of the earth. If you wish to get a genuine international passport in Nigeria, CASB advises that you follow the steps below:

Step 1: Arrange some documents to identified yourself to the Immigration Office. You can identify yourself using a valid driver's license, birth certificate, local government identification letter, NYSC discharge certificate and others.



Step 2: Go in person to the Immigration Office very close to you. Do not send someone to do this for you because some of the processes requires your biometrics - on the spot photograph, finger prints record and other oral questions.

Step 3: Prepare to pay for the Passport services - Passport booklet production fee, Passport Photos and other administrative charges. As a the time of this report, about fifteen thousand naira (NGN15,000.00 or $100) suffices.

Step 4: Plan to spend at least 4 hours at the passport office if you wish to have it the same day.

Step 5: Ensure that you arrange for a guarantor. Your guarantor must not be there in person. The person haave a valid international passport and/or have another strong point for identification. The person may be contacted by the immigration office during the passport production process.
